Getting a professional video produced for your business, can be costly, so its important to get the most out of your content when you publish online. I've always told clients that reworking and repurposing their video content for different platforms can work just as well as shooting entire new videos. Check out a great example of this from a recent project we worked on with The Imperial Bar, in Cavan.
The client wanted a full promo video highlighting their Bar, function rooms and nightclub. They also wanted to showcase the different range of drink products as well as live acts and DJS on offer. A tall order to get into a promo, less than 2 mins long. But we managed to do it and the client loved the final result. However the length of the video was produced with Facebook promotion and the clients website in mind. It was still 30sec to long for instagram so we looked at creating a solution to cater for the large instagram audience the Imperial Bar has.
We decided that the best way to showcase on Instagram was to re-edit the main promo into shorter sections and create a series of videos that were 20secs or less that could be used as hooks on Instagram. We had taken some extra product shots of cocktails etc.. while filming and used these along with the location establishing shots from the full promo. The shorts were then also branded with a logo closing scene. The client can now use these shorts on all platforms to promote individual promotions in their venue or to direct the audience to the full promo or website. It turned out to be a cost effective way of getting multiple pieces of content from their main video promo. Check out the results below, with the main promo and then the five reworked shorts.
