![]() Getting a professional video produced for your business, can be costly, so its important to get the most out of your content when you publish online. I've always told clients that reworking and repurposing their video content for different platforms can work just as well as shooting entire new videos. Check out a great example of this from a recent project we worked on with The Imperial Bar, in Cavan. The client wanted a full promo video highlighting their Bar, function rooms and nightclub. They also wanted to showcase the different range of drink products as well as live acts and DJS on offer. A tall order to get into a promo, less than 2 mins long. But we managed to do it and the client loved the final result. However the length of the video was produced with Facebook promotion and the clients website in mind. It was still 30sec to long for instagram so we looked at creating a solution to cater for the large instagram audience the Imperial Bar has. We decided that the best way to showcase on Instagram was to re-edit the main promo into shorter sections and create a series of videos that were 20secs or less that could be used as hooks on Instagram. We had taken some extra product shots of cocktails etc.. while filming and used these along with the location establishing shots from the full promo. The shorts were then also branded with a logo closing scene. The client can now use these shorts on all platforms to promote individual promotions in their venue or to direct the audience to the full promo or website. It turned out to be a cost effective way of getting multiple pieces of content from their main video promo. Check out the results below, with the main promo and then the five reworked shorts.

I'm just back from a friends surprise party in NYC. I brought my trusty Canon 650D with me to capture Louise's big surprise. The venue was Tanner Smith's on 204 West 55th Street NYC. It's a 1920's prohibition style speakeasy. It's a great bar to check out if you're in the city. Here is a quick video we put together from the party. Louise had no idea about the party and was totally surprised after her partner Phil organised the whole night for her. Her second surprise was the visit of two of her bests friends Sandra (my wife) and Nicola who had travelled from Ireland and Wales to be there. It was a great night all captured on video. check it out below. DJI have announced their latest drone today. The DJi Mavic. First impressions are that is looks just like a smaller foldable version of the Phantom 4. It uses DJI's active track and the same 4 censor unit as the Phantom 4 in front and below. From the looks of the specs it seems to be using the same 4K camera from the Phantom 4 as well. It doesn't look like the reduction in size of the unit will lead to more flight time either as DJI are listing the flight time as 27mins. The very same as, (You've guest it) the Phantom 4. So in a nut shell its looking like a folding Prop, smaller version of the Phantom with a new controller system that lets you use the new smaller DJi controller or a virtual controller on your phone. It seems only the Pro version is available at the minute here in Ireland priced at €1199. Check out the video. Here is a video Vivify Multimedia filmed and produced for Diamond Events at their March 2016 #IrishBizParty Networking Night at Cafe En Seine. Over 16 million people have agreed to give up almost every private detail about themselves to a company they likely know nothing about just to play a quiz. Lately, you’ve probably seen a couple of your Facebook friends post the results of a quiz app that figures out your most-used words in statuses. Or maybe you posted it yourself. It looks something like this: The “quiz,” created by a company called Vonvon.me, has risen to over 16 million shares in a matter of days. It’s been written about in the Independent, Cosmopolitan, and EliteDaily. Sounds fun, right? Wrong. That’s over 16 million people who agreed to give up almost every private detail about themselves to a company they likely know nothing about. “ooo! if i click here and auth in with facebook it’ll scan my entire year of posts, store the data and tell my most used words. sign me up!” — Saved You A Click (@SavedYouAClick) November 19, 2015The app, like many Facebook quiz apps, is a privacy nightmare. Here’s a list of the info quiz players have to disclose to Vonvon.me:
[…] you acknowledge and agree that We may continue to use any non-personally-identifying information in accordance with this Privacy Policy (e.g., for the purpose of analysis, statistics and the like) also after the termination of your membership to this WebSite and\or use of our services, for any reason whatsoever. Your information could be stored anywhere in the world, including countries without strong privacy laws. A Whois search reveals Vonvon.me was registered in Korea, but it operates under several languages including English, Vietnamese, Malaysian, and Korean: Vonvon processes Personal Information on its servers in many countries around the world. Such information may be stored on any of our servers, at any location. Vonvon is free to sell your data to whomever it pleases for a profit. Vonvon says it will not share personal information with third parties without permission, but just by playing the quiz you’ve technically given it permission because it assumes you’re a responsible person who reads the privacy policy. Of course, most people who play the quiz are not that responsible. […] We do not share your Personal Information with third parties unless We have received your permission to do so, or given you notice thereof (such as by telling you about it in this Privacy Policy) […] Yes, it actually says that. Worst of all, Vonvon skirts responsibility after it has sold your data to third parties, who can do whatever the hell they want with it: […] this Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of entities Vonvon does not own or control, or to individuals whom Vonvon does not employ or manage, including any third parties to whom Vonvon may disclose Personal Information[…] Companies who you have never met can now access your entire Facebook profile–friends, photos, statuses and all–and use them in ways you never directly agreed to. By the way, if you edit the permissions before authenticating the app with Facebook, Vonvon won’t allow you to play the quiz. Abstinence is the best privacy policyWe’ve singled out Vonvon because it recently went viral, but it’s far from the only shady data dealer to masquerade behind a viral quiz mill. Facebook is a haven for a large number of these companies and, frankly, hasn’t done enough to educate or warn users about the risks. Social Sweethearts, a similar company based in Germany, creates quiz apps that are so bold as to collect your email address. Hope you like spam, suckers! So how can you protect yourself? The easiest way is to avoid online quizzes that require Facebook authentication altogether. Go to the apps section of your Facebook profile–where these data miners often reside–and remove anything you don’t 100 percent trust. Many of them can even hijack your Facebook and post on your behalf. Stick to quizzes that just let you share the results without logging in with your Facebook account, such as the ones on Buzzfeed. If you insist on authenticating a Facebook quiz app, be sure to check the permissions and read the privacy policy or terms of use. SteveWhat better way to show you how we can add text graphics you live footage than to do a lyrics video for the brand new Adele song 'Hello'. Motion text graphics can be used as an extra tool to give context to your live footage. They can also be used as a visual aid to accompany a voice over on your video. For more information on any of our video production services get in contact with me and i can run through the different production options we provide.
